I rarely buy music anymore, because Spotify. If it’s niche enough to not be on there, I seek out the relevant website. We have a working vinyl set up but never use it.
The Babes In Toyland looks neat. Have to check it out.
Nice!
I recently bought the new mono reissues of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and A Saucerful of Secrets on vinyl.
Nice. I’ve never heard A Saucerful of Secrets in Mono. Something to checkout.
Robyn Hitchcock - Shufflemania
Flaming Lips - Transmissions for the Satellite Heart
FL- In A Priest Driven Ambulance
The Alvvays
Interested to hear your thoughts on the Alvvays record. I just listened to it again yesterday. I can never seem to get enough of it.
My orders from a Danish online store came in this week…
Medazzaland - Duran Duran (neon pink)
The Invisible Band - Travis (forest green)
Blue Rev - Alvvays (turquoise)
Future, If Future - Michael Stipe (#415 )
All The Kids Are Super Bummed Out - Luke Haines & Peter Buck (found the yellow/blue release)
Only The Strong Survive - Bruce Springsteen
Tribute - Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock & Jack DeJohnette
Will do. I have these on order. I love what I’ve heard on here so far.
The original are on 8track hahahaha
I pre-ordered the new Love and Rockets vinyl box set, The Albums 1985-1996, for $158, including shipping. Not a bad price for six albums spread out over eight vinyl LPs. The box set, which was limited to 1,000 pressings, arrived in the mail last week. My copy has the 456/1,000 on the back.
I checked Discogs on a whim yesterday, and saw this now-sold-out set is already going for $350.
Boy, that escalated quickly.
Just got back from a city break in Barcelona to celebrate my birthday. Picked a few bits up there, Kraftwerk - Man Machine, Steely Dan - Gaucho, The Byrds - play Dylan and Tom Waits - Bone Machine.
Also got a new reissue of Pixies - Surfer Rosa from the current Mrs LeftFoot, so a great haul and loads to get stuck into.
Happy Birthday!
Ooh Kraftwerk.
And Surfer Rosa. Always a good listen.
