You seem so sad...why not smile

I am sick, sick sick with a horrible flu. It’s been a week and I can barely stagger from one room to another. The cough is beyond painful. Plz excuse my mistakes.

No one on earth could feel like this
I’m thrown and overblown with bliss
There must be an Angel
Playing with my heart
And when I think that I’m alone
It seems there’s more of us at home
It’s a multitude of Angels
And they’re playing with my heart, yeah

You sounded so good on the phone
All moved up and all moved on
Me and gravity, we never could agree
But I can almost see the sky
When I need to, I close my eyes
You’re the only thing that’s worth holding on to

Angel, you sing about beautiful things
And all I want to do is believe
But I traded my dreams for this mess of memories
And they just stopped working for me

(Matt Nathanson)

Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a partner
Sometimes I feel like my only friend
Is the city I live in, The City of Angels
Lonely as I am, together we cry

Baby hold on to me
Whatever will be, will be
The future is ours to see
So baby hold on to me

I’m just around the corner
If you got a minute to spare
I’ll be waiting for you
If you ever want to be there
Hold me, hold me, hold me

Hold me close don’t let me go, oh no
I yes, I love you and I think that you know
Do you know?
With your love light shining
Every cloud’s got a silver lining
So hold me close, don’t let me go

You took all the lonely days and you made them sing
You turned off the alarms so they don’t ring
I don’t know where we are in the grand scheme of things
But I just wanna be hugging you tonight

Tom Rosenthal

I don’t wanna be with no one but you
I wanna be wrapped up in the arms of my mighty man
Come on, rock me in your arms, cause I know you can

Rock me on the water, maybe I’ll remember
Maybe I’ll remember how
Rock me on the water
The wind is with me now
So rock me on the water
I’ll get down to the sea somehow

I know you’re leaving, leaving me behind, baby
I’m seeing you darlin’ for the very last time
Show a little tenderness mama before you go
Please let me feel your embrace once more
Take me in your arms, rock me, rock me a little while
Oh little darling rock me, rock me a little while
We all must feel heartache sometimes
Right now, right now I’m feelin’ mine

Well, I’ve been looking real hard
And I’m trying to find a job
But it just keeps getting tougher every day
But I got to do my part, cause I know in my heart
I got to please my sweet baby, yeah

So keep on rock’n me, baby

(Steve Miller Band)

I was looking for a job when I found this one
Don’t need the work like you need the work done
You look like you’re under pressure
I was looking for a job when I met you

I’m sharing a room with two guys over at the motel 6 boss
Sending every dime I make here home to my ex-wife
Just did two years and 28 days
With a little better aim I’d been in there for my life

So you see, broke won’t take much getting used to
Neither will a barb wire jail house wall
Watch what you say to someone with nothing
It’s almost like having it all

Been in town, my baby
We just got to rock on
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, darlin’
We just got to go home
I don’t want no tutti-frutti, no lollipop
Come on, baby, just rock, rock, rock.

There was a friend of mine on murder
And the judge’s gavel fell
Jury found him guilty
Gave him 16 years in Hell
He said “I ain’t spending my life here”
“I ain’t living alone”
Ain’t breaking no rocks on the chain gang
I’m breaking out and heading home
Gonna make a jailbreak
And I’m lookin’ towards the sky
I’m gonna make a jailbreak
Oh how I wish that I could fly

Hello, ma baby
Hello, ma honey
Hello, ma ragtime gal
Send me a kiss by wire
Baby, my heart’s on fire
If you refuse me, honey, you’ll lose me
Then you’ll be left alone
Oh baby, telephone and tell me I’m your own

I love Looney Tunes!

I hear you singing in the wire.
I can hear you through the whine
And the Wichita Lineman
Is still on the line.

I’ve been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel
There’s a voice in my head that drives my heel
It’s my baby calling, says, “I need you here”
And it’s half-past four and I’m shifting gear

When she is lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable coming in from above
Don’t need no phone at all

We’ve got a thing that’s called radar love
We’ve got a wave in the air
Radar love

(Golden Earring)

I hear your voice in my head
I try to hear the rain
But I hear your voice instead
I hear your voice in my head
You’re the greatest thing on two legs

It makes me know how much I love you
When you flash that third world smile
It makes me know how much I miss you
When you leave me for a little while…

Call out the instigators
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

  • Thunderclap Newman

I save your messages
Just to hear your voice
You always listen carefully
To awkward rhymes
You always say your name
Like I wouldn’t know it’s you
At your most beautiful

  • R.E.M.

When enemies are at your door
I’ll carry you away from war
If you need help, if you need help
Your hope dangling by a string
I’ll share in your suffering
To make you well, to make you well
Give me reasons to believe
That you would do the same for me

And I will do it for you, for you
Baby, I’m not moving on
I’ll love you long after you’re gone
For you, for you
You will never sleep alone
I’ll love you long after you’re gone
And long after you’re gone, gone, gone

(Phillip Phillips)

Driving through the long night
Trying to figure who’s right and who’s wrong
Now the kid has gone. I sit belted up tight,
She sucks on a match light, glowing bronze, steering on.
And I might be more a man if I stopped this in its tracks
And said come on, let’s go home. But she’s got the wheel,
And I’ve got nothing except what I have on.
