In honour of getting tickets to see Sierra Ferrell later this year, here’s one of my favourite live performances ever, which I’m sure I’ve probably posted before.

In honour of St Valentines Day (patron saint of Luv, beekeepers, fainting and archers inter alia) and after a spell of ups and downs, I’m posting a 1981 love song by Alabama. I have got well into country and western in the last 3 months and am now hooked- it’s uplifting! I figure they need it in those southern states maybe…bring on the line dancing!

There was a concert at the Grand Ole Opry last week celebrating 25th anniversary of the O Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

Many great performance videos, but here’s Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz singing “I’ll Fly Away”.

I’m not necessarily a Springsteen fan but I share his beliefs and the stand he’s taking 100%. So few other artists speaking out makes me wonder if they’re afraid of the fascist regime now in power in the White House. I certainly hope not.

Earlier tonight in Minneapolis as Springsteen kicked off his current tour.
