I recalled the Fanclub 20th Anniversary newsletter from the year 2000. If I remember right, this was the first fanclub newsletter I got when I joined after the release of Up.

1985 - 40 years ago on this day R.E.M. released their third studio album Fables of The Reconstruction. The sessions took place at Livingston Studios in London with producer Joe Boyd.
I love this acoustic performance of “Driver 8” the second single from the album, which I believe is from a earlier live performance July 1984 (I.R.S. Records "The Cutting Edge)
