Michael Shannon/Jason Narducy UK Tour

Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy are bringing their Fables 40th anniversary show to the UK this year. Anyone in the States been to one of these? Worth going? I’m not a fan of tribute bands, but this isn’t that really.

I saw them last year at the Black Cat and my dad and I are seeing them at the 40 Watt in Athens - I had a blast last year and can’t wait for next month!

So I have my ticket for next month in London and I’ve now found a friend to come with me (didn’t know she liked REM!) Really looking forward to this now and playing Fables every night and transcribing the words to the songs I’m less familiar with. Like Lori I only discovered REM after hearing Losing My Religion in someone else’s house in about 1990. It struck such a chord I went out and bought the back catalogue in CDs and have been to 3 concerts here since. Woke up this morning with Wendell Gee in my head :musical_score: :guitar:

Actually Kathleen it was after I heard Shiny Happy People on the radio while driving home one night. I know, a lot of people diss that song. I don’t care, always loved it & still do.

Haha- yes Shiny Happy People did get a bit of bad press didn’t it? I really like it too- REM’s hippy happy song. I couldn’t help thinking look at those 4 Shiny Happy People joining in on stage at the 40 Watt Club in Athens Georgia with Jason Narducy and Michael Shannon- they looked like they were having a ball

Getting quite excited for the upcoming gig now. Here’s a Man Ray Kind of Sky we had here this morning (not that I can show you anything that I can do with that  !)
