A photograph on the dashboard

No that’s just the angle from the phone - you look great!

Thanks. There are definitely bags under the glasses. I think my best feature is my hair. If I live into old age I shall have thick, silver, grey hair & eyebrows unless it falls or thins out. Feeling a bit anxious at the moment. :peace_symbol:

Anxiety is a tough one and it can really get a grip. We have a lady who can’t come to our social centre because of it and she used to be so chatty and friendly. It’s hard to imagine her being crippled with anxiety. I find 45 mins of yoga daily, at home, on the mat, clears my head (someone told me that it affects the water that surrounds the brain- as do the moon’s phases- hence the word “lunatic”! )it feels like it does and it helps keep me in balance. That and the open air/walking in nature. I think we’re all susceptible to letting things get on top of us and it can be a constant battle not to let them.

I went for a 6km walk tonight. It’s spring here, the flowers are pretty. :blossom:

Hey that’s good! I’m trying to stay away from world events coz they’re just upsetting and I just want to try and enjoy my life. The world will always be a foolish one and we just have to try and bear it with humour. Bring on some joy laughter and music!

You do have great brows, Lori. Mine have thinned a lot. My girls keep telling me to get them microbladed but to me it’s a waste of money. I wish mine were as lush as yours.

I haven’t watched the news in over a year. I will literally leave the room if it comes on, and that was before the Middle East palava. I don’t want to know. I can’t bear little hurts anymore in the world, let alone what’s happening now. I can’t be indifferent. I have kids and grandkids. I would take hard drugs if I could get them.Yanno, comfortably numb. WTF is happening in the world? Fuck it.

Yes I’m the same (kids and grandkids) so have to keep looking forward and be hopeful. I guess the one thing we do have control over-most of the time- is our own minds and what we have in them. If we want to feel peace and love we have the ability to think ourselves into that place but it’s not always easy. If I ever get negative I try to visualise Donald Sutherland in Kelly’s Heroes- “I’ve had it with your negative vibes!”

Out with family today. Sister Rosanna, Peter & Robbie. A 30min walk from the Port river to Semaphore, a small seaside town I grew up in. We all hogged into a yiros, then walked back.
