Back when this place was over run with spammers several months ago it nearly took an act of Congress to contact Ethan so someone could take care of it. I've run into a similar situation more recently where attempts have been made to contact him but so far there has been no response. I'm suggesting that the reigns to Murmurs be handed over to someone that is actually going to take some responsibility for this board. Either step up to the plate and take an active role here or shut it down. Harsh words but it's become increasingly frustrating when there is no way to get in touch with Ethan and I am the only board member left with any Moderater capabilities.
Unfortunately, these are only open to people on Facebook. Looks like there's two ways to enter the contest, one is by sharing a concert memory in the Comments section for the first post below on R.E.M.'s Facebook page. The other is for Green World Tour concert memories specifically which is mentioned in the second post below. The prize is a special Green-themed merch pack, deadline to enter is Friday, May 10th. Here is a link to R.E.M.'s Facebook page.

In all likelihood this has been posted here before but it's worth a repost. It came to my attention over the past few days in the wake of all the recent fervor over Murmur turning 30. Much of this is aimed largely at gearheads as Mitch Easter gets into a bit of techspeak in regards to how "Radio Free Europe" (both versions) was recorded but it's still a very timely and worthwhile read.
