A friend spotted Stipe at a swanky Village Cafe.   He sent a drink over, but Stipe told the waitress it is not necessary to buy him a drink, but he was very grateful nonetheless for the gesture.   He in turn bought a drink for my friend.   Friend mentiond yours truly. Stipe laughed and said, "yeah I have heard of that guy."

i did not quit.  I am staying strong.  Every night i shoot out resumes.  Someone will call me.  I even went on coolworks and applied to work at a resort in Utah.   Eddie Vedder and Chris Mcandless are on my mind.

progress is being made with my musical collaboration.   We are a lo-fi acoustic outfit very much like Vic Chesnutt and the Violent Femmes.   I have been reciting my poetry in local bars and a fellow bohemian confirmed that I am the modern day Bukowski.   He said whether or not I put this stuff to music or just keep as poems it does not matter as long as the writings are copywrighted.    I am now reading Berryman.

I do not have the time or money to see them in NY or Philadelphia.  Therefore I will be contacting their management company pleading for a last minute stop at the Sand Casino Event Center in Bethlehem PA.
