This thread is brimming with positivity, and is dedicated to those things that made you smile today, or even made your day.

Today, my boss was really understanding and has given me the time off I need to work on my thesis, visit my supervisor (in another town), go for my job interview (hopefull) and prepare for my (final!) exam.  I was expecting a fight, so I was really happy when she was so supportive and helpful.  Yay!  Go Brenda!

Good thread! :)

I felt very good this morning, driving my car till the undergrond station.. the fresh air of september from the car window, the first cigarette on the day, REM Mistery to my on the car radio and the early morning sun.. this made me smile and made me think that life can be so good!

I know it's a very little thing, but sometimes little feelings are so deep!

After a tough few months, followed by a virus, I've been given the time and space to get better, rather than rushing back to work.  Thank you Doctor :)

My seminar finished early, I found a really (ridiculously so) useful book in the library for my dissertation, I had hot chocolate at lunchtime and my supervisor bought me a peanut butter kitkat at work.
Days don't get much better than that.

My w00ts:
1) PUGWALL!!!!! :)
2) It's the weekend, baby!
3) The toe I stubbed yesterday is bruising nicely.  It's all red and swollen, but will probably be purplish by this evening.  And that means that I can use it to get sympathy, and as a topic of conversation, so at least I'll get something out of it :p
4) I figured out jimmy09's nick
5) The poetry of things left unsaid
6) People like my new thread :)

The public holiday on monday was great...which made it a four day week!!!!!

The world is full of strange behaviour,Every man has to be his own saviour.I know I can make it on my own if I try,But I'm searching for a great heart to stand me by. There's a highway of stars across the heavens,The wispering song of the wind in the grass,There's the rolling thunder across the savanna,A hope and a dream at the edge of the sky.I'm searching for the spirit of the great heart, under African sky.

I finished 2 old pieces of writing in the last 2 days.  For about 3 months of every year, I swear I'll never write again, but I've come out of it!  :) I don't know if that's good or bad for the rest of the planet though:rolleyes: :p

What's to figure out about jimmy09's 'nick', and why isn't it posted in the where-your-username-came-from thread?

Last friday was my grandma birthday, 74 years. And today we have been in a very nice restaurant on the mountain to wish her a great year!
My boyfriend made me a great gift coming there with me and my family... and this has been a very good day :)
