I love tabbies, so I am biased he is gorgeous, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise...

My kitty-crazy daughter Z loves tabbies best of all.  That's a beautiful picture of a lovely cat!

Aw, tabbies!!!  The first picture is especially cute, Lucy.

Today my tabby decided that he won't jumb on the sink to drink from the tap anymore.  I have to carry him.  Poor little guy.  He's traumatized by the builders that work in the garden, I think. :p

Ditto.  Tiger cats are my favorite kind of kitty.

A pussy that scratches, purrs and wails is not my idea of how it should be.

I didn't know you are in any sort of position to be choosy.

She was only 6 weeks old when my sister-in-law brought her round, her cousin had MMs sister, so that's how she knew there was a kitten available. My previous cat had died 3 weeks before we got MM and I was so upset that when my sister-in-law heard that her cousin was getting a kitten and there was another in the litter that needed a home, she told us about her and that was that I had to have her :) So I knew for just over 2 weeks that I was getting her, but wasn't expecting her until she was 8 weeks old. But she was an active kitten and if her litter mates were all like that I expect they were glad to rehouse them as quickly as possible :p
MMs mother (Molly) was a tortie-and-white and no more then 1 year old  and there were 5 kittens in total MM, Tiger Lily (tabby female), Oscar (ginger male - the family kept him) and two black& white males.

The tale behind MMs name.

When she arrived, she'd got the name Millie. So just because I could, I changed the spelling to Milly  As the days went on I decided she looked like a Mildred  so switched her name again, but everyone else kept calling her Milly  so in the end both names were clumped together giving Milly-Mildred!

It is not even about choice, it is self preservation.

Think what would happen if I could not spread the "good news"?

FURTHER EDIT: Is that the correct spelling for "choosy"? It looks "wrong".

Well she is a nice cat,  but my other cat is so much sweeter and I do prefer desexed male cats, I find them more friendly, but that is just my experience.

All cats are individuals.

I cannot pick up Milly-Mildred and cuddle her, but she'll sit on my lap to be groomed - when she wants to.

My previous cat loved being picked up and cuddled, you could lay her over a shoulder and walk around with her there. Though you wouldn't want to do that for long as she was a BIG cat!

If you tried that with MM there would be bloodshed!

Bloodshed is when you want to groom my cat Millie.  She has semi-long fur,  in winter it is pretty long, but tonight I have to because I have to take her to the vet tomorrow for her annual checkup and vaccinations.
I am pretty sure there is a picture of her somewhere in this forum.
