And, just because you aren't likely to see it on any Cure music video compilations in the near future...

How about some clips from the first queen of the pop screen-Kate Bush:

Drive-By Truckers "Goodbye"
4-20-06 Charlottesville Pavillion
I'm not really crazy about this cut from their latest record, A Blessing and a Curse but this clip shows a glimpse at their new stage set up with their album artist Wes Freed's crows. It's also noteworthy since it shows the Truckers in their full line up with John Neff on pedal steel (Neff has been on nearly, if not all of their records [with the exception of the live album Alabama Ass Whuppin']). In addition guitarist/vocalist Jason Isbell is on keys.

"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Thanks.
You're welcome. I hope to see 'em with "Sho' Nuff" Neff one of these days but he plays in nearly a hundred other bands around Athens so his appearances with the Truckers are rare. I did finally get to hear his sweet pedal steel playing when Patterson and the Screwtopians (which also includes DBTs drummer Brad "The EZB" Morgan) when they were through here (NC) not long ago.

Gotta love those names.
Although they don't seem to use 'em so much anymore I believe they all have nicknames except for Shonna:
Patterson Hood = "Buford"
Cooley = "The Stroker Ace"
Jason "Nearly Famous" Isbell
Some past members:
Earl "Birddog" Hicks
Rob Malone "The Devil"
One of their early managers is still kickin' around Athens I believe, Sara Kelly. Her name was "The General".

The Cure - "The Dragon Hunters Song" (Opening Credits soundtrack to French Futurikon cartoon, Dragon Hunters, 2004)
Quite fun...my first time hearing this myself. Nothing hugely spectacular, but catchy.
If this reminds you of the song, "Taking Off", from the most recent self-titled Cure album, it's not your imagination...the two tracks sound very similar to me..."The Dragon Hunters Song" is basically a more upbeat version of "Taking Off".

that's where we say "how typically French"... they make their own cartoon in French, but name it in english, and have the Cure to make the theme...

good song indeed. The direction is almost a Michel Gondry copy though.
