2 cents : i liked it better when tv and film were separate.

But, y'know, keep up the good work, etc.

I can understand that, but I'm actually thinking of retitling that forum "Entertainment" and making it about the whole of the industry including celebrity culture, tv, film, etc. Like gawker/defamer/pinkisthenewblog.com type stuff.

How about sub forums for tv and film? It'd be nice to go browsing for discussions on tv shows or movies without filtering through posts about the latest soundbite from paris hilton. *Someone* has even started a thread about tom cruise and katie holmes for god's sake!  :p  :D

I'd consider a show/film specific forum, like one thread per film/show. Kind of like how Television Without Pity does it.

Technical problem:  With my display set to 1024 x 768 I can't access the buttons to reply to private messages.  What's the recommended display setting nowadays?

Should probably be 1280x1024 if you can do it. But there should be a scrollbar. I'm still tweaking the iframe thing, so if you're at that low resolution you should click Forum (popup) and use that.

Question (which may have been answered while I was away, but I can't take time to look for it): I paid for the subscription for "no ads" but there appear to be ads again - "sponsored links - ads by Google" in the middle of pages.  What's up with that?

I'm having to use the pop-up feature because I have no idea what I-frames is. *shrugs* This seems to work fine - haven't had time to look around much.

Wish we had had some warning about the change-over date, as I hadn't copied my journal to my computer so unless you bring it back, it's gone. :(

You shouldn't see ads now. We can get your Journal data back, but just give us a few days.
