Hassle The Hoff, Ice-T's latest hip-hop protégé, is his neighbour and friend, David Hasselhoff. The actor of Knight Rider and Baywatch is now pursuing a career in rap after a lukewarm singing career in, of all places, Germany where he released seven albums. Said Ice-T: "The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him." Eminem is reportedly nervous of another white rapper on the scene.

It's funny how so many people in the U.S. know that David Hasselhoff was popular in Germany in the 1980ies.
I think many Germans cringe when they hear his name, too (I always have).

the only reason i knew is because they were always making fun of it on snl

I found out when I went into HMV in a small german town in 1988 and saw his album on the listening stand.
Anyway, If MnM can see off Vanilla Ice, Buba Sparks and Snow, I'm sure his record sales won't suffer at the hands of Hassle-da-hoff (at your own peril:p )
