We are always trying to make the tracker bigger and better but above all we must keep it within the guidelines set so we dont risk lossing it. We are currently making some alts to the rules so they are clearer and easier to understand.

The one main rule is that no commercially available material is allowed on the tracker. This is sometimes hard to worked out because that means anything commercially available anywhere in the world at any point in time (say a rare b-side only available in Australia in 1985).

Most IRS / Warner material is easy to track thanks to some fantastic sites that catalog all know singles, album versions, dvds etc.

The issue is the smaller stuff. We would like people to post in this thread any official released REM materal you know of. We would like you to post the album/dvd title, who released it if you know, the year and any other info you have.

All posts will be researched and entered into a database. Note there are some cases where even if a show has been released in part it still maybe eligible for seeding. This database is just getting together a list so we can be sure whats avaliable.

Here are some samples

This thread is currently it sorry. Theres something in the works but it wont be usable for a while.

If you're worried about posting something just post a message asking someone is bound to know. If your after a complete REM discography the ZiMs site is probably your best bet - http://orangefox.svs...rem/discog.html

Thanks, but my situation isn't that black and white. I have a video of the 11-19-92 concert and I know that almost all of the AUDIO is available through singles - dumb question but - is it okay to share the VIDEO???

I also have some video clips I'd like to share:
*1985 Rockpalast interview with Stipe
*1985 Unidentified outdoor European TV appearance of band lipsynching Driver 8 and interview with Stipe (Cut at end)
*SNL preformance of Man On The Moon and The Great Beyond
*The making of/interviews Automatic For The People

I've never done this and I don't want to complicate things by attempting to upload stuff that's not okay - thanks!

Wow thats the Greenpeace show. One of my fav performances. I don't think I actually knew there was a video of this show. But as you say this show provided the b-sides to most Monster single releases.

First question would be what the video source, is it PRO or is it an audience recording. If its AUD then I believe theres no problem, because the copyright does extend to the show but that particular recording. If it is pro them we might have to investigate further if it would be allowed. I for one would love to see it.

The first 2 on your list and The making of/interviews Automatic For The People sound great, the SNL stuff I'm not sure about.

If you need help on how to share stuff let me know

Sibko.

Thanks - the Show is definitely an audience recording! Lord willing there will be 2 DVDs - one of 1985 material and the other of 1992. If I need help or have any other questions I'll ask. Hopefully I'll be posting in the next week or two - with a 1 year old baby and another on the way things are busy!

Hi Sibko - ready to go on the first part. Just one last thing to go over. I have 4 clips all together; 1 interview with Stipe, 2 interviews with Buck, and a TV appearance of Driver 8. I wanted to convert these to MPEG-1 but my MAC only has MPEG-4 - will that do? And the Buck interview shows a long clip from Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman" (Concert for Bangladesh?) and as well as long clips from "Stand", "The One I Love", "Cant Get There From Here", and "Orange Crush" should I try to edit these out? Thanks!

PS Once these are up I will start on the 11-19-92 video!
