My name is Jack and I live in Pennsylvania. I've been reading Murmurs for a while but just decided to join. When I was little my mom had some R.E.M. cassettes (Green, Out of Time, Automatic) that we used to listen to in the car. In early 2003 I decided to buy some of the albums on CD. By the end of the year I had all 12 albums, plus In Time, In View, and several singles. I got ATS on the day it came and loved it right away.
My favorite album is probably NAIHF, and my favorite song is "Nightswimming" (I know, how original  ....)
Looking forward to getting to know you! :)

I have been a member since 2003 (June). But I have never introduced myself properly. I am a 46 years old female from Holland in Europe. I am a realy great fan from REM. I have almost all their records and DVD's and I have downloaded several concerts. In 2003 I was able to see them in Amsterdam and in February 2005 I was in Rotterdam to see them. Amsterdam was very exiting. We stood near the podium. Rotterdam is much bigger so it was a different kind of feeling. But I enjoyd every minute. In my profile I said Up was my favorite album. Now I switch to Around the sun. Live the songs from this album are so intensive, much more then at the album. I found a concert from the band at Torrent from 1991. So special, I can't get enough of hearing this concert. Unfortunatly I am not able to go to Werchter (Belgium). I still hope the are coming to Nijmegen (in the Netherlands) in June, but that is not sure.
For all the new comming members: have a good time on Murmurs, it is worth it! :D
