A few months we were asked to submit questions for Michael to answer. It's now going on mid-February. Is that issue even out yet?

Their website says it is.

The issue is out now. It just came out. I was given a subcription to the magazine for Christmas from my friend so it was delivered to me.
And here is a scan of it.

-What would you like to have put on your headstone?
"I told you i was sick". My sister photographed that actual headstone, in Key West, I believe."
This is pretty hysterical to me too- also the one about the T.V. show as well, like Michael said....
Some pretty good questions and answers here.
Good to see this (and Mr. Stipe) :) Thanks for posting this, Denise. :)

Also, I think I am going to stop reading overall "reviews" of R.E.M.'s catalog. They have become so predictable. Everything from Chronic Town to Document was great, Out of Time was the major hit, everyone loved Automatic, everything after Automatic is terrible. No thanks.
Again, thanks for posting everything for us, Denise. :D

Oh my God -- too funny!!
What is your most irrational fear?

Swimming in lakes. Swimming in the ocean too. We made part of the record in Miami, and I would go down to the beach, and not 20 feet from the water I see a fish that is at least seven feet long swimming close to the shore. I did not go back in the ocean the entire month. I was terrified. I called the coast guard. I went online. I was obsessed. I lost two days in the studio over that stupid fish.

many thanx for posting this. i always like these type of interviews, cos it shows most people that michael can be quite funny & not the serious sort he is often made out to be. Like the fish story, very funny :D i wonder what the other guys thought of his reaction? 'Hey michael, can we go over a couple of tracks again? - 'Sorry guys, no can do, gotta tell the coastguard there is a 7ft evil looking fish stalking me in the ocean? i think this smilie may be close to their faces  Priceless! Good pics too.

Your welcome everyone, I'm glad you all liked the article.
I liked that he answered the question about the Grit. Great food. The fish story was so funny. I can picture Michael running from the Ocean so the fish can't get him. haha.

Wow, thanks for posting the article. It was surely enjoyable. BTW and for the record, I would call the coast guards too. Wouldn't you?
