Why does everyone think I am making this up. It does suck. I guess I wish I would've made a copy. But how did I know that Michael would do this. I can't see ahead into the future.

Well you never said what imitation of life meant.

the other problem is that you don't use the correct punctuation. You used "your" wrong in several places. It shoudl have been you're

About knowing ethan, he told me his name at the concert, we were all talking. He told me that he runs the murmurs site. That's how I know him and why I remember him so vividly. Back then I wasn't a member at the time but I would go to the site as a guest. I remember reading that the site had said that people from murmurs were going to ware t shirts with murmurs on it so everyone could find each other.

To go into details about what I meant in the poem, I don't know if I want to do that. That's sort of personal between me and Michael. I know he knew what I meant, that's what matters to me. The interpretation of the lyrics as for now, I don't think I want to reveal. sorry. For me it's too personal, what I wrote to him means alot to me.

I remember that ethank was there at the concert, we were standing by these big wooden doors trying to see if we could spot Michael, there were like at least 5 other murmurs members there. And at one point after Michael recieved my letter he came out asking if anyone knew who I was or how this letter got in his dressing room. I wasn't there at the time of Michaels appearance unfortunately, I was told that this happened by ethan and the other murmursians. They said he was only there for a minute, that he asked those questions, then he left. No one could give him an answer at the time because they didn't know till I explained it to them, that it was me who did that.
I did do quite a bit of pleading with the head of security guy and I am sure he would still remember me.

Ethan can you confirm this?

Marijane you may not remember but you told me in chat you have never seen R.E.M. before.  So why lie now and say you did?

Also remember you said in the other thread if someone was to find that Michael had used something from their poem they wouldn't tell anyone.  So why are you telling us this?

The fact is that you just failed my test.

The phrase "Imitation of Life"  is the name of a movie. Michael has gone into detail about that as well.

The song meant much more than the way you used that line and you could have at least pointed out that this was where you got it from.

3 times. First in 1999 at Irvine, second at san diego street scene last tour, third
show at the hollywood bowl last tour.

the air is singing, it's calling me,
I don't believe these things, I've never seen,
never heard, never dreamed
your eyes,
your eyes seem empty,

First you say that your eyes are like the sun...and then you say that your eyes are empty....

make up your mind.

i believe the story completely. i not only wrote Strange Currencies on a napkin I threw at Michael during the Green tour, but I also wrote him a letter in the font later used for the New Adventures in Hi Fi cover.

Sorry Marijane but I think I may also have a problem with your claims.
If what you wrote to Michael was personal then why share it on murmurs?
Also, your attitude about your life-threatening illness seems a little nonchalant.  I watched my Mom die of cancer for 2 years and it was VERY intense.

I hope that this is a bad joke.

Fine, mrdavesanchez.

imitation of life?

What I meant: Was he living an imitation of life because he seemed to me sad, like something was missing, or gone, his eyes seemed empty to me and I wanted to tell him that I loved him and that I wanted him and needed him.

I see. . .

Well personally you need to rethink this entire charade you posted here and maybe rethink your plans in your life. Michael Stipe is a musician and nnot your lovr. Iits not healthy for fans to be making these types of fictitious stories up for attention.

Because if this story was actually true, You might as well kiss REMs musical careers goodbye. You think this story is cute but the scandal that could be taken from such a story is outrageous.

No I do have a leg to stand on.

ethank knows I do because I met him in Athens and he saw me and one night ethank got drunk and he fucked with my lighter and i burnt my eyelashes.

Oh and I was wearing a blue ringer shirt just like michael on the last tour and he started wearing one too because of me.

Are you serious, this wouldn't really ruin their music career. Would it? I think your wrong after all it's not plagerisism if I don't dispute it, right. It was to him anyways and the way he used it means that he knew this and was respectful of my writings.
