Some kind of singing. They sound like all kinds of people, right? And then it says another child is born in India every time you call this number, right? Does that make any sense to you?
And the guy that spoke--I don't know who he is. But that--it doesn't sound like no answering machine, right?

"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Your list *surprised me Rachel. I get accused of being too young to like some of the bands I love, and you have an incredible list there. I can never nail down a list of favorite albums; it seems it would be different every time I sat down to write one. Maybe I should write down my top 20 albums, and repeat that every week, then I could come up with the average... wait that would be too nerdy. I'll just stick to not making a list, and admiring everyone else's list. Thanks for posting; it reminds me of some good music I need to load on my iPod.
