fugly is slang for fuckin' ugly...i kinda agree, but who the hell cares what a MUSICIAN looks like...their job is to fashion aural art, it makes me sad that physicality has become such a part of it so often...

I always thought it was heartless to call anyone ugly. As I know how that feels. Michael by no means is a ugly man. An ugly person is someone who has a crappy personality and does mean or bad things to others.
It's what's inside that counts.

actually, VH1's show on it was fairly amusing. They interviewed people about it and when they got to michael stipe, very few people had anything bad to say about him. someone said he kind of looked ethereal, like an alien if i remember correctly.

Like an alien. haha. I didn't realize that the show was just a total spoof I guess on people. See they saw Michael with his earphones in his ears that he uses on stage and with the way the wires go in front of his ears makes him look like he has antennas.

How the hell can anybody think he's fugly? He's remarkably beautiful in my opinion, he has stunning blue eyes with long eyelashes, an incredible jawline and the most beautiful bum I ever saw.;) :D

as a Mike lover, i would have to say that Michael is beautiful and NOT ugly nor fugly. he looks really good for a guy his age. in fact, all of the R.E.M. guys look good for 40-year-olds.
i've had people tell me i was ugly in school before and believe me, i didn't like it. it's part of what gave me low self-esteem. but i don't feel like an idiot anymore though. but i betcha when i get into high school soon, they'll be at it again. but only different people will be saying things about me. as always. :rolleyes:

I personally cannot be offended by something thats completely obsurd.
I mean, for me saying he is ugly would be like saying The Twin Towers were the lowest building in America, George Bush and Britney Sperm..uh, Spears, the most intelligent ones, the last few years in popular music the greatest and that the kiss he gave to mike the most sickening thing I've ever seen altogether.

Uh, I meant the sig. I really love these old photos.
Peter looks like the coolest/hippest kid on the block, Michael is an immaculate china angel doll and Mike an innocent cutie little 12 year old boy. Call it a bizzare taste, but this really does it for me..=) (the last 2)
I can still see that in them now, it reminds me of their personalities. Unfortunately, it also reminds me that they have lost some of the naivete they had back then .
They're still my babies.
