Over the past couple of weeks, at two separate Starbucks, I have heard: "What if We Give It Away?" "Cuyahoga" and "Fall on Me".

The radio station I'm subjected to at work has had the same playlist for as long as I've known, and one of the songs is Everybody Hurts, I can't recall for sure but I think I heard Shiny Happy People once.
It's all here where I keep it, it's all in the yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine...

Nice way to start the morning.

WXPN Philly 88.5. We all Go Back to Where we Belong on now. Funny they played it after Rufus Wainwright's Hallelujah. Which makes me burning with curiosity to know what R.E.M.'s Hallelujah is like.

25.10.11, 10 a.m.:
I'm definitely no MacDonaldist but yesterday I went to the one in my hometown for the first time. I sat there staring at the tv-flatsreen and realising that the music sometimes was matching the tv-pics (videos), sometimes not (news) - some kind of MacDonald's-special-programme. The music was o.k. and I thought it'd be funny having an REM-song at this place, because they were rarely played on the radio the last time, esp. no CIN-songs.
Guess what happened! I can't remember what came first: dropping my book down or realising the first tones of... "Überlin"!! At MacDonald's!!! (Do I have to go there more often now?)
:-D

The Hibtone version of "Radio Free Europe" on KEXP.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Wasn't on the radio (at least that I could tell) but I heard "It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" at the Pork & Barrel restaurant in Raleigh yesterday afternoon.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'.
