Haven't listened to these albums in forever. All of them bring back some very fond memories of when I was a much younger man. It would have next to impossible to grow up in North Carolina in the 70s and 80s without being a Nantucket fan.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Wow !! That is fantastic! Please give us your feedback after the shows! I hope I'll get to see them one day.

This is just over a week late but the Megafaun/Mount Moriah concert was great. It was a benefit for Central Park School in Durham so it ended up selling out so it was more than a bit crowded. That's ok though since it was for a good cause. The only downside was a few sound problems with the mix during both Mount Moriah's and Megafaun's sets (there was also poetry readings from the Poetic Justice troupe between bands). Still a very fun show. A friend of mine was filming and taping. Here's a couple of the clips he uploaded to YouTube of the concert:

If you want to watch some more clips from the show, you can go directly to my friend's YouTube channel here.

No but I tend to listen to a lot of internet and satellite radio (as well as my iPod) rather than entire albums so listing all of that would prove to be rather difficult. It's not like I never listen to complete albums because I do but more often than not, it's radio. As I type I'm listening to KEXP out of Seattle via iTunes.

Not an album but I'm listening to Mike Mills DJing on Dave FM in Atlanta. So far, he's played Drivin' n' Cryin', the Flamin' Groovies and the Brains. For some reason the audio from the Listen Live link isn't matching up with the audio from the live in the studio web cam.

My fav album of all time and the one I always play when I get a new device so I played it today when I got a new ipod. I say new it was bought 2nd hand and I think the shop even felt embarrased to sell it 'cause it had so many scratch marks on it. Still £15 for an 8GB ipod is good if your a cheap skate like me. ha ha ha

It's the first tims I've been able to listen to this in the correct running order since i had it on c.d 'cause I've only just recently worked out why itunes didn't list them in the correct order.

Very much praised and it's a good album and nice to put on but the songs aren't that good.

It's been far too long since I've heard this one all the way through. It's definitely held up very well through the years.
