I wanted to resurrect this thread because I remember seeing it here for so long & Shawna was very much part of murmurs & I miss her being here.

Please send an email or e-card today to all your friends, family members, and acquaintances who live in Wisconsin about a decision they will make on Election Day that could change the direction of the death penalty abolition movement for the entire country!

Wisconsin has been death penalty free for over 150 years, but on Election Day the people of Wisconsin will be asked whether or not to reinstate this barbaric practice. 129 nations have abolished the death penalty in law or practice and here in the U.S. we have made recent progress with court rulings declaring unconstitutional the execution of juvenile offenders as well as the death penalty laws in the state of New York.

Tell your friends in Wisconsin (or friends who may have friends in Wisconsin) that we look to them to help unite this country with the growing community of abolitionist nations and move us away from the ranks of such executing nations as China and Iran!
