i saw tron for the first time a couple months ago...bought it on dvd for some reason which escapes me...it's one of the unintentionally funniest freaking things i've ever seen...but it's also pretty cool with the rudimentary computer effects...just to see the evolution a bit more i guess...
about to watch vanilla sky if i can stay up...

"Waking Life" by Richard Linklater. A "My dinner With Andre" type movie about dreaming, perception, and all that kind of stuff. It has some of the same people in it as Slacker, and in fact I would consider it a great companion to Slacker. All the footage shot on film was painted or cartooned over, creating some stunning and bizarre effects. A very beautiful film to watch, and the conversations aren't bad either.

One day, if I'm old or dead
One day, can't get out of bed
I hope and pray the night before, we were out of our heads
Cause I never want to lose the Days of Wine and Booze
We all go back to where we belong: A month of saturdays, Hallelujah!

The last movie I saw was "The Day Earth Stood Still". Quite a focused take really, a very entertaining film. The last mmovie I forgot to watch was "Grosse Point Blank" this evening. Haven't watched a movie for over a week.

The last movie I watched at home was "Arlington Road".
The last time I went out to see a movie, I saw "Blade II". Not exactly highbrow stuff, but an enjoyable romp, nonetheless.

A friend and I saw Blade II a few weeks ago and I also enjoyed it. Strangely enough, I found myself cheering for the Reapers instead of cheering for Blade and company. It's funny how the villians are sometimes a lot cooler than the good guys in movies like this.

Seen 'Vanilla Sky' yesterday. It's not bad, the music's great, but if it was directed by David Lynch, the Master, it surely would be half an hour shorter. Who needs so detailed explanation? Can't I think myself?

nice one . the thing about Lynch is that he brings all this shit out , then leaves us to unravel it , rather than do it at the end of his films , which gives him a reputation but makes us think at the same time - like we can take whatever we want from what we see . It's hit and miss (lost highway , blugh) , but the 'hits' are really something .

last full one was "focus," a semi-cruddy arthur miller thing with william h macy and laura dern... it kept on trying to be eccentric but most of that ended up looking like a bad 80's music video...
