Adopt me!!!

I'm not so much a newbie as a returner. I haven't posted for ages and ages and ages (really ages).  But i'm back.....and ready to fuel my growing addiction to message boards :-)

If it makes any diff. I'm 22 female in Edinburgh (uk) and i'm a Film and Digital Media student.

maybe even scared a little.
i'm probably the only person in this town who likes this band enough to spend over two hours trying to figure out how this site works.
i.e.
uh
what's a board?
uh
what's a thread?
uh
what's a cookie?
uh
what's a post?
what difference does it make?
I would just like to find some people who would like to get into smart and serious discussion of REM's music.
So far i'm having a lot of trouble.
Please adopt me. Im really fuzzy.

Thank u, I need a lot of help, I really know my way around the Internet & the computer but I feel so so,well I guess overwhelmed. Not sure if it being new to the site or bc it is R.E.M. - they do this to me.
