What songs do you think is the most rocking in the REM repertoire? Burning hell? The wake-up bomb? Departure? Toys in the attic? These days? Star 69? Kenneth? Trash metal?

Most rocking R.E.M. songs are:
All the Right Friends(new version)
Begin The Begin
Wake Up Bomb
Burning Hell is a riot. I love that.

Most rocking songs....what about:
Let Me In (not fast, but with so much overdrive pretty hard for a REM song)
Leave
But I can also agree with Star 69, These Days, Begin the Begin etc.

And our talk is useless
It only makes us seem clever
While nothing changes, nothing changes, nothing changes, nothing changes...
Not ever.

One day, if I'm old or dead
One day, can't get out of bed
I hope and pray the night before, we were out of our heads
Cause I never want to lose the Days of Wine and Booze
We all go back to where we belong: A month of saturdays, Hallelujah!

Finest Worksong. The whole song is something that gets me going.
Let me in. The guitar sound is heavier than ever.
Begin the begin, and especially live versions of it are great

In terms of urgency you can't beat Begin the Begin
but for all out noisiness it has to be Kenneth.
