Okay people,

in order not to bomb into the poor Bill's thread anymore, I thought I would open up a thread just for you poor deranged (did I just say that??? scratch that! ;)  ) Austrians on this board.

Go on. Have fun.

Nobody will understand you guys anyway ...

I got that, so maybe I'm not so stupid as I thought :D :D :D
I send you a note if I find time to visit you - don't worry, I learned russian at school, so "österreichisch" should be not sooooo a big problem...;)

lol.... it always cracks me up when some germans (like harald schmidt or günther jauch or thomas gottschalk try) to imitate our dialect - i think thats just hilarious.
maybe its the same for some carinthian when i try to imitate the carinthian dialect...

but cindy:  a good way to learn some of our dialect is to go to the video shop and search for the austrian version of 'ein schweinchen namens babe' :)
think its quite a cool 'tranalation' into our various dialects....

The funniest thing though is when Austrians (esp. Viennese, it seems) are on TV and think that they won't be understood if they speak the way they usually do and therefore try to talk as "properly" as possible...the accent they have then is soooooooooo cool :)

Speaking of the Austrian version of Babe (yeah, it's funny)...are the Austrian versions of Asterix any good?
