*appears to the stage in a really classy tux after decorating the topic line*

So, now we have the two songs that will fight for the title of the best R.E.M. Song.

Before voting, let's have a minute of silence for these songs that were sent out before the finals:

  • I'll take the rain (1st round)
  • Everybody hurts (2nd round)
  • Leave (3rd round)
  • Losing My Religion (4th round)
  • Electrolite (5th round)
  • Perfect Circle (6th round)
  • Fall on me (7th round)
  • E-Bow the letter (8th round)
  • Southern Central rain (9th round)
  • Nightswimming (10th round)

*wipes tears*

Now, we are starting the 11th and the last round. :)

IMPORTANT! READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY.

Remember not to post anything else but your vote for the better song [Disclaimer: the host is not hinting towards a special song, he is telling you to raise your voice and tell your opinion].

These are the two songs. Decide which one can stay, By voting for the song you want to win! NOT the one you want out!
Choose your destiny by picking one of these:
  • Country Feedback
  • Find the river

This round closes on Monday 10th of december, and then i will announce which one of the mentioned is the official R.E.M. Song survivor.

One day, if I'm old or dead

One day, can't get out of bed

But if I cut you out and find that you are paper thin?
Can I use you to light me and stoke the fires in my mind?
For you may start and not finish if I find that I exceed you
and the limited dimensions that you mask.

Please note the lack of irony in this post.

If you're frightened of dying and you're holding on,
you'll see devils tearing your life away.
But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels.
Freeing you from the earth.

Find The River, ofcourse.

* Note that in this survivor Antti and me voted the same songs.
In 1984 Orwell writes of a nation that constantly under attack with a undescribed enemy, as such causing permanent anxiousness in the population a constance of fear of the outside and a justification for both the suppression of people and increased governmetal control and military spending. The genius of the unidentified enemy is the need for this never to end.
