Recently a TV presenter made some comments on air that mothers "should keep it classy" when breast feeding their babies in public. This outraged about 800 breastfeeding advocates who is planning to protest outside of the TV station's studio.
Story here
I breast fed both my kids. It not something I feel you should parade to the world when you're out in public. With a bit of discretion, most of the time nobody will even notice.

While I support people's right to breastfeed as they see fit, I always appreciated when there was a semi private place available to do it, for instance there is a very nice parent's room in our local shopping center that also had changing facilities and equipment to warm bottles/food.

I remember a department store in the city, it was either Myers or John Martins having a room like that with nice lounge chairs. I have breast fed in a public place but had family or friends and other mums around me at a table and it was kind of semi private. I'm not offended by what others do, I would be kind of embarressed doing it in say sitting on a bench in a shopping mall with lots of people walking by.
