A group of artists, designers, actors and more have come together for Re/Create, a series of fashion auctions to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief. R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Kanye West, Skrillex, Anne Hathaway, Julianne Moore, Selena Gomez, Chloe Sevigny, Kate Moss and Prince Albert II of Monaco are among those contributing items, which include everything from autographed Nikes and sculptures to jackets and purses.

"Like many New Yorkers, we were saddened by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and motivated to help," writes the group on the Re/Create website. "To assist the ongoing relief and rebuilding efforts we are proud to present this auction of personal, one-of-a-kind items donated by prominent members of our creative community." Auctions start Friday night. To donate, place a bid, or for more information, visit the Re/Create website.

Bronze Cassette Replicas to be auctioned off as a single lot. These are among the earliest of Michael's sculpture pieces, they are solid bronze with a silver nitrate finish. Each is stamped with Michael's name and the date 2008. Each is unique.

Looks like The CreatetheGroup ended this auction before it reached its end....and I had the leading bid.   Seems like an unfair and immoral way of conducting business for a charity.  I bid $1000.  This is why I usually don't take the time to enter these things.  Call me a sore loser, but this whole process stinks.

They've now relisted it for an auction on February 8th.  But how does a bidder trust that they won't end it early AGAIN?

When was it supposed to end?  Is it possible that it's a second set that is listed now?

They took the auction off after 26 hours (it was supposed to end Feb 2) because they didn't like the low bid amounts, even though my max bid was four figures.

Seems off alright.  Wonder if they'll do any better.
