Another great show by TBP. My 10th time seeing them, and they ripped through their works with precision and grit. Mike was on keyboard and tambourine all night, save Rockville in the encore, which seemed unplanned and featured a funny exchange between Mike and Peter in which Mike asked what chord the song was in and Peter told him, with Mike then stating he of course knew. Ira Kaplan joined the band for "Buckner's Bolero" and their covers of "Revolution Blues" and "Strychnine" where phenomenal, as always.

My photos from the show are here:

Wonder if Mike and Peter will ever play any other REM besides Rockville?

And Mike has said before he has no interest in playing Texarkana ever.

Love is All Around would be a welcome cover, as it was played with Escovedo at SXSW and was requested at this show by a fan, to which Mike said something about a one person fanclub being in attendance. Oh how humble Mike can be....

That was my thought too, I guess they would never play something that Mike never sang on.

Though Mike has sung "Wendell Gee" solo, so that is a long shot, just as is his baseball song from a few years ago, pre-BBP, "Gift of the Fathers."

They could also play "The Wayward Wind"; but it's unlikely that Peter would be willing to sing it.  ;)

Here are a couple pictures my best friend took at the Baseball Project show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

It was an awesome show.  A week ago already.
