I started listening to non-classical music in about 1995, and was waiting eagerly for the release of New Adventures in Hi-Fi the next year. Michael Stipe really opened my eyes to the idea that songwriting could have a real power. Anyway, I didn't start trying to write my own music until 2009, and I wanted to share it, as I take R.E.M. to be one of my main influences. Have a listen if you feel like it, and Like the page if you actually like the music. There are R.E.M. references scattered throughout the lyrics - although I will have to say that I sound nothing like Michael Stipe. All demos. Recording in the summer.
Cheers.
