Someone has already posted that the Baseball Project are going to be issuing a special single for Record Store Day. For the rest of the offerings, check here.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

This isn't everything that's coming out on Saturday but it's still a nice preview.

This is from an in-studio performance Patterson Hood and Jay Gonzalez of Drive-By Truckers did for WNRN in Virginia earlier this week that includes Patterson's thoughts on Record Store Day. To listen to the entire interview and performance (which includes "Mercy Buckets" and "Used To Be A Cop"), click here.
