And so you registered here just to tell us that? No chance you are in fact yourself the mysterious Steve/Stipe or otherwise associated with the band? ;)
If so, I propose you post a proper information notice, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

REMember.  I know this reads like remember.  But when I see the name I think.  R.E.M. Member.  So which Member is it?

No idea, but presumably not in this thread. Here's a review of the shows though: http://www.murmurs.c...england-review/
And allegedly there is a recording of the show: http://www.remchroni...g-statistic.php

So, are you in fact associated with the tribute band in question or not?

If no one else has claimed the trademark, I'd like to now begin my career as a children's birthday party magician utilizing the name "The Mysterious Steve Stipe" :)

I don't know what I've done wrong , wish I'd never asked about them now tbh, didn't realise that forums had so many landmines in them, and no nothing to do with me wish it was, I'm in a crap pub band whose name I won't mention for fear of another spamming charge.

Hi everyone. I - rightly or wrongly - HAVE just joined the forum to clear a couple of things up ;) . Came across this thread whilst googling my own band.....which happens to be the aforementioned REMember. We'll be making our proper debut on 18th May in Portsmouth, UK (full details on website soon) before taking our wares around the UK during the Summer, and continuing on into the great beyond thereafter. All the relevant info, biog, pics & most importantly audio can be checked out here :

www.rememberhq.com

Of course, we'd be very grateful for your support both on the site and elsewhere on Facebook/Myspace etc, and look forward to hopefully meeting some of you whilst on our travels in the very near future.

Belong :)

Sounds really good actually! At least music-wise. Good arrangements, good Bill-drums generally, and good guitar work. Less impressed by the vocals perhaps. Kepp it up! What setting will you use live, just four people or a Scott/Ken/keyboards/2nd guitar too?

Edit: just saw the lineup on the website. A bit more mixed in terms of Scott/Peter, it seems? Could be cool.

I like!! Your lead singer sounds more than a little like Mike Mills.

Evening all. I'm back down South again after a Spring spent rehearsing and playing half a dozen warm-up shows with REMember. We really have had some tREMendous receptions. This isn't promotional crap from REMember's management - I am the guitarist lol - just so you know it isn't spam. It's personal haha. All of us in the band have been taken aback by the positive feedback we've had from everyone. But we need your approval to be credible. See us live and write us a review of the show. Please. We have a host of shows during August & September in the southeast UK. So please forgive the shameless plug :

Fri 27th July The General Henry, Horsham Road, Littlehampton, W.Sx
Fri 10th Aug Bridge Inn, Bridge Street, Newhaven, E.Sx
Sat 11th Aug     Brewers Arms, London Road, Burgess Hill, W.Sx
Sat 18th Aug     Tribfest UK 2012, Sledmere House, E. Yorks
Sat 1st Sept St Wilfrid's Hospice Benefit show (evening headline, venue tba), Eastbourne, E.Sx
Fri 7th Sept   Beach Tavern, Pevensey Bay, E.Sx
Fri 21st Sept     Wings Bar, Welling United football Club, Welling, Kent

We are also now on the books of a few top international agents.....

http://www.scottjord...s/remember.html

so our original plans to spread further afield from the UK are coming to fruition slowly but surely. If you want us in your city, please let us know at info@rememberhq.com as that European tour is still on the cards for early 2013. We promised ourselves we'd be performing in Athens this time next year. Athens, Georgia, that is. If we can, we will.

This film is on......whilst rehearsing for the above dates, our mate Duncan shot some video. Which, if you're interested, can be seen here :

BTW....Had some lovely PMs. You're all too kind. Please spread the REMember word. I thank you.

Adieu KJH :)
