Hi fellow Murmursians,
Some of you will remember that i put up this post on murmurs about 4 months back:
http://www.murmurs.c...=new_post&f=115
So after all that self promotion, I forgot about looking for a girl and went about living my life and being very cynical about finding love in India. (I even wrote an article about it: http://theyoungindia...-love-in-india/)
So, anyway I was learning music at an institute in Banglore and we were to put up a concert at the end of the course in November. There was an old lady in my vocals class who was keen to perform Abba's 'I have a dream'. I was playing guitar for that track and we called in an advanced keyboards student, Malashree, to also play on the track. So we all rehearsed together and performed at a local restaurant.
Then after the concert I suggested we meet for lunch on a Sunday and she agreed. After that we met many times for lunches on weekends and we have a lot in common and we had a lot of fun. So it's been 3 months since we know each other and we are in love. We've also told our parents about it and they're happy for us too. So marriage is on the cards in the near future.
She also happens to be a REM fan. However, it was Abba and the old lady in the vocals class who should get the credit for bringing us together. :-)
We also went for the Ken Stringfellow concert at Kyra in Banglore together which was like a dream come true. We also got a chance to talk to Ken and hangout with him which was really cool.
So I am very happy and content with life now.
I just wanted to share the good news with all of you on murmurs.com
If any of you come down to Banglore someday, we will treat you to some good coffee and cake :-)
Special thanks to Gut Pageant, Wanderer's tale, Kimo, Mr. cuyahoga and c?dric for their encouraging comments on the previous post. If any of you are in Banglore, I'll treat you guys to lunch or dinner :-)
Cheers,
Shaival

What great news Shaiva, its uplifting when you hear something like this, at times luck and being in the right place is all you need. I wish you both all the very best!
Good grief, I don't think I'd be able to survive if my partner wasn't into the band - I would drive my other half mad otherwise. As it is we play, sing or listen to the bands music every single day (even our dog has his fav REM tunes) and we try to sneak into conversation snippets from their songs, song titles or stuff they have quoted - surely we can't be the only ones to do this? We both drive our friends potty, but they love us anyway, and hey, we have great fun!
All this is coming your way.
