does anybody know if Michael Stipe may have been in London UK yesterday (11 Jan 2012)?
just that i think i thought i walked right past him in holborn after i finished work last night- i stopped and did a double-take.. it was either him or a very good look-alike. i wouldn't have stopped him either way- he was talking with a couple of people plus i don't like the idea of meeting my idols like that.
i tried out my stalker skills by having a quick look to see if he'd shown up anywhere in the world this week with no luck- thought maybe he'd be mexico to see Peter. just wondering if anyone could help confirm either way whether it could/couldn't possibly have been him. thanks.

It's just because the way you are; I see you near, I see you far

Unfortunately, I don't have the priviledge to keep tabs on Michael's whereabouts.
Simple thing if you want to know if its Michael, though the man has a look of his own so anyone who is a fan should know if they see him or not. But you need to look at his right hand. If you don't see the brick tattoo, than its not Michael.

There are a host of REM shows on BBC4 tonight. One of them is Jules Holland special which may just be clips from the show but it states it's an interview which I cant really recall on Jules Holland so he may be in town to do that.

This photographer says he spotted Michael Stipe while on the train, in New York... (whether this is true or not, the person next to Stipe in the metro looks a lot like Thomas Dozol)

I can see why the photographer thinks that is Michael but it looks like a 70 year old man. His camera must be really crappy if it adds 20 years.

What are you talking about? Did you somehow feel offended on Michael's behalf and had to slag the photographer?
The picture is taken through one or two subway windows, in grainy b/w...go figure. Besides, what's the chance of a guy looking exactly like MIchael sitting next to a guy looking exactly like Thomas?

Relax Sweden. No one feels offended. The photographer said himself that his camera was crappy.
I'm not surprised but some people would be surprised if you told them that Michael actually takes the subway.
