Best post-breakup tribute yet.

I hope you enjoy it.

I was trying to create a repertory of Collapse into Now songs that were played live (other than Hansa) and all I have is this Pearl Jam cover and then Everyday is Yours to Win by Michael Stipe at Carnegie Hall. I think there's no point in creating this since there are, as of today, only these two songs ever played live, either by R.E.M. or by other musicians?

I think some CIN songs (That someone is you, for sure) have been performed by special guests during the Part Lies Part Heart Part Truth Part Garbage release party. Not sure if they're available for download though.

Kimo the above video was one of my favorite things that I witnessed at the Tribute show.  That is David Bell and Kevin O'neil from the fanclub who covered that.  I think they did an excellent job.
I got to talk to David.  What a nice guy. I was very surprised when I told him my name he knew my last name.  Some people who I have known for a long time can't remember it.  I've always been amazed at just how nice and welcoming everyone in the R.E.M. camp is.

Wow, great to hear it in good quality. Pretty brilliant tribute!
(Perhaps a bit annoying that he sings about "he" having earned his way etc, instead of they, but on the other hand I'ts cool that he not only includes Bill when thanking them, but also Bertis and Bob (Whitaker I guess and not Weber?).

I seem to rememeber this impromptu one was the only CiN song performed. Otherwise I think we came to the conclusion that at least one song was performed that night from every album apart from Monster.

When I heard the first posted recording, it was the worst thing I had ever heard that people paid money to hear.

Listening to this version, respect. He is an interesting character that Vedder. You can also tell how huge a fan he is.

The other one is now the worst thing I have ever heard that people actually paid money to hear.

I think it's awesome, given it's Kevin and David and given it ended up being sort of the only chance to hear a CiN song live by anyone... :)

it happened today :)

could we include any of the hansa videos as live performances? i know the versions online have been heavily doctored but they were performed live, in a room of roughly 30 people, and they did clap once they had finished. i think we could include it as a live performance.

i know that if i was there, i'd say i witnessed the last live performance of R.E.M. :)

the songs from hansa studio is live to me, they play the songs with full band in front of a small audience, exactly the same way as when they play at a sold-out stadium

That's a great quality file. Is it a soundboard recording?
