Hello all REM fans,

I am a big REM fan and am also learning music these days.
I am such a big fan that I consider myself to be one of the many inheritors of their sonic legacy.
So the sound of my music will be somewhat inspired by their music always.

I am interested in songwriting. So far I have written some 6 original songs.
And if I was to analyse them I am sure I have borrowed from REM here and there.

So I was wondering if there are other REM fans out there who are also musicians and would like to collaborate with me
through email and internet. I live in India so not much chance of meeting other REM fans in person.

But people on murmurs.com who take REM's music seriously are welcome if they are interested in collaborating with me.
I hope this works as it will give me more inspiration to pursue music more seriously. And it would be quite exciting and fun as well.

I'm also a musician.  I've been in a couple R.E.M. tribute bands as well.  As for my originals, people always tell me they sound like R.E.M. songs, because of how much they influenced me.  Nothing would make me happier than to find another group of musicians to jam with that like the same music that I do (pop/rock).  Looking forward to that day...

So to answer your question, yeah, I wouldn't mind collaborating with you.  I play guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, some keys and I've played mandolin on a few recordings.  I used Adobe Audition to track my recordings.  Contact me at bluemookie at att dot net if interested.  I'm Kyle, by the way.
