I still haven't receive my package yet.... Anyone else in this case?
I haven't received mine either, thought honestly i'm not surprised. My postal delivery has been pretty bad for the past 3-4 months. I'd like to get it before Christmas, but i wouldn't be surprised if i didn't get it til next year. :s

All in all, it's bittersweet, i'm happy with the last package, particularly as i was surprised they were doing one after the break up announcement, and partly because it's kinda cool to have live versions of those songs from their last tour.

Okay, so this is the last holiday package. Got it. What about the newsletter? Isn't there, at least for the past several years, four newsletters per year? Since the final holiday package had no "thanks for sticking with us for all the years" message, I'm wondering if they're saving that goodbye to the most dedicated fans for the last newsletter. Wishful thinking, I know. Did anyone else get the impression after newsletter three that there would be a number four before or after the calendar/card/CD package?

That's what the message on remhq stated.
Anyway, could someone shed some light on the "collapse into now" poster ?
Only one of us received it ?

That wasn't a fan club offering. That was something else. Maybe it was from the charity auction. Looked like it was autographed by Stipe. That's my guess.

The poster thing looks really odd, and the signature looks quite a bit unauthentic to me... No explanation?
As for the package...yes, much less than I hoped for (not expected), but...two of my absolute favourites in their entire catalogue, from the last tour. It works for me! I will miss these...

Write to the fanclub.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."
