Here is a link to a teaser on NPR's All Things Considered site.

**Edited to add: Here's a link to the story, audio will be available after 7 pm ET tonight.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Just wish we could hear something from Peter besides that portion of the Guardian article.

Is it only a short advert so far? Or did I click the wrong audio file?

I should have listened to the audio before posting. You're correct, that's a promo ad from yesterday for today's interview. I've edited my original post to reflect this. If they archive the actual interview I'll be sure to post it.

**Edited to add: It looks like the audio for today's edition of All Things Considered will be archived here after 7 pm ET tonight.

I would gather it's because he's rather busy at the moment considering he's on the road with John Wesley Harding and the Minus Five.

"It won't be what we had, but it will be what we have."

What a great line to close the interview. If the Mike Mills Experience featuring Mike Mills ever happens, I know I'm not going to be worried about the quality of the lyrics.

To Bill, Peter, Mike and Michael - Thank you.
