My computer has no problem playing the commercial before the interview, but when it's time for the interview to start, the screen goes black. Am I the only person who has this problem?

It played fine for me.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Anyone else well up a bit with tears toward the end of part 2, about their legacy, when they thanked the fans?
I looked for it,
And I found it,
Miles Standish proud,
Congratulate me. ...
Answer me a question,
I can't itemize, I can't think clearly,
To me for reason it's not there,
I can't even rhyme ...

I wasn't aware that there was a Part 2, could you provide a link?

Thank you for posting.
As I watch more and more interviews with Michael and Mike, I've come to the conclusion there will never be another band that I actually care about more than R.E.M. (The Beatles, The Stones, The Cure and Depeche Mode come close but no cigar...)
I never get bored with their interviews, or their individual personalities. Ever.
Oddly, 'Man on the Moon' and 'Supernatural Superserious' are two of my least favorite R.E.M. songs. But that's okay.

Agreed. Thoughtful gentlemen. Success and the right to end it on their terms is well-deserved.

I was thinking what song would be my favourite that I would choose as a fan signiture song, I can't, there are too many favourites. Michael had a black mark under his chin, I couldn't help notice. Thanks for the interview!

It doesn't work for me. At the end of the first part it stops and I can only click on "replay". :-(

Same here. Part 1 ends with a clip of "Losing My Religion" but I see no options for watching Part 2.

these interviews are so weird. I don't get the feeling the 20th centry boys are 'feel fine' about it.

Well damn, it was going to part 2 when I first looked at it, but now it's not. How annoying.

It took a couple of minutes to load, for me. Do you have Google Chrome? I was in that browser - might make a difference.

I'm using Google Chrome. I'm going to try the link Kelly posted, thanks.

Gawd, I can't believe their patience during that Absolute Radio interview. It must be drudgery to have go over history like that. If I were Stipe and had that pencil in my hand I would have been doing a very dark, dark scribble by about half way through that chat.
