Thank you, I'm listening, and like what I'm hearing.

I dreamt what you were offering
Imagine lying next to me
Your shirt and your reputation talks
I will write our story in my mind
And write about our dreams and triumphs
This might be my innocence lost
I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins
I dreamt that we were elephants
with water, sun, clouds of dust
I woke up thinking we were free
I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong
Is this really what you want?
Is this really what you want?
I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong
Is this really what you want?

I really really like it. I think it showcases an REM we haven't heard for a long time. Production is great, lovely melody, music, singing and flow.
Plus it gets better with each listen. A really lovely song.

A link to a stream of the song from the De Ozonlaag Tumblr blog was posted in this thread yesterday.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Jesus wept....I hate to say it but to be quite honest that is fucking crap....what is that horrendous noise Stipey is making from about the 3 minute mark until the end?
To end with a great album and then ruin it with a piss poor last song defies belief.

I have to say it again, after a few more listens.
The song badly lacks another verse.
You are one minute in and the song is basically over, the rest is nice, but repetitive.

Meh. It's obvious they didn't hold out their best material for this, which is what I thought might happen.

I did not expect the best song they have done but it's incomplete...
It's non bad but needs something more...
No matter anyway... R.E.M. forever...

don t like the sound a là Beachball with the horns and stuff. But the verse is quite nice although seems incomplete.

I dunno, it could be the stream but the mix has Micheal way out in front and its like the instrumentation is so suppressed. Definitely has shades of Reveal in it though. Like its been mentioned before the song sounds like 2/3 of a completed song. Oh well......
