I've found this article

http://www.rds.it/sp..._medium=twitter

MUSICA/REM, ESCE L'INEDITO "WE ALL GO BACK TO WHERE WE BELONG"

Milano, 14 ott. (TMNews) - Da lunedì 17 ottobre sarà in radio "We all go back to where we belong", il brano inedito dei R.E.M. estratto dall'album "Part lies, Part hearth, Part truth, Part Garbage 1982-2011", il primo greatest hits definitivo della band in uscita il prossimo 15 novembre.

I am not italian but what I can understand is the following:

"On Monday October 17 We all go back to where we belong will be listened on radio"

Why they haven't made any official news if it will air on BBC, NPR or somewhere else?

There was little to no effort put into promoting Collapse Into Now, the same will probably hold true for this greatest hits collection.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

It's very pretty.  A little bit on the easy listening Reveal and Around the Sun production style, but overall I like it.

I like the song... it reminds me of reveal and around the sun. Nice song. Reminds me of a nice warm smile.

Rock! But don't roll....unless you are on fire.

If I hide myself wherever I go, am I ever really there...?

I really, really like that song. Got some Pat-McCarthy-era flavor in it. Love the ambiguous lyrics, the soft horns, the delivery. This really ends well.

Really hyped for the other two new songs.

It's that song from the studio clips!

"What you're offering
I don't know
What you're offering."

I thought this one wasn't a CiN outtake?

Now I'll only ever hear 2 new R.E.M. songs :(
It's all here where I keep it, it's all in the yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine...

All three of them are what I consider "new", at least to my ears as I've never heard any of them before. Makes sense that it's most likely a leftover from Collapse Into Now, I'm guessing the horn section is Bonerama.

Lyrics (as I hear them) if anyone's interested:

I dreamt what you were offering
Imagine lying next to me
Your shirt and your reputation talks
I will write our story in my mind
And write about our dreams and triumphs
This might be my innocence lost

I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins

I dreamt that we were elephants
with water, sun, clouds of dust
I woke up thinking we were free

I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong

Is this really what you want?
Is this really what you want?

I can taste the ocean on your skin
That is where it all begins
We all go back to where we belong
We all go back to where we belong

Is this really what you want?
Is this really what you want?
