[Aardwolves Lower]

Is this what it takes to get people to start talking about the greatest band in the world again? in the few boards where I am a member people are coming out of the woodworks to praise REm and say how sad they are for the loss, but where have they been these last few years?

og god, I sound bitter don't I? I'ma need to listen to Why Not Smile real quick to get back on track....I feel like a cartoon brick wall right now

Is this the same as the 'coincidences' that you mentioned in my posting habits and someone possibly hacking your computer?  Such heavy suggestion and when you were confronted about it you said 'it might have been a coincidence'.  Ridiculous B.S.

I don't understand you, you are quite right. That is because your mind, to me, seems absolutely addled.  My speciality is in I.C.U and surgery - I didn't specialise on psychiatry. Maybe if I did I would be untangle the utter nonsense that you speak.  I think that I have earned the right to reply to your crazy witterings since you have insisted on making fluffy, but quite insistant accusations about me 'maybe' illegally accessing your computer.  Just like you said that you had written lengthy letters to Stipe and then have seen some of the lines 'coincidentally' turn up in song lyrics. Posting pictures and allsorts of tomfoolery to illustrate how there are so many parallels that it is amazing.

And then there is the usual 'read into that what you will' silliness just to make it ambiguous enough for the people involved not to slap you down for slander.

The last person to claim that they had written lyrics for Reveal said that she was dying of a brain tumor.  I think that many of the old timers hetre can remember that.

As for your friend, I have no idea whether they ever existed. That wasn't ever my point.  The thing that narked me was the insinuation that your letters and the lines within them, 'coincidentally' turned up in REM's songs.

What story?, I just read the part about the coincidence and it reminded me of that story.

There's also another one, more complicated, when I said to someone, I think it was on 19/3/2001, that I feel like some friday fashion show teenager freezing in the corner, but that's much more common so I can't take any credit for it. Wish I had it signed with the date, I'd make millions.

Thorn Plucker - Seriously, Grace is probably being a bit mean and picking on you (she's good at that - helps to have a thick skin and a lot of self-confidence in response; I speak from experience), but you read to me as someone who's troubled and delusional. I don't mean to be rude or unkind, but I don't think she's just picking on you - I believe and I bet she believes you should confront and work through the stuff in your own life, which has nothing to do with Michael Stipe. She's taking the cold splash of water in the face approach with you.

My sense of it - my two cents if you will, take it for what it's worth - is that you're misdirecting some pretty awful pain about some stuff that's very hard to deal with through this tangential channel of Michael and some special dialogue you have with him.

Guess what? You don't NEED that. You are special because you're a living, breathing human being who has your own light and beauty, creativity and art and love all inside you. Get in touch with your good stuff, deal with your bad stuff - you can do it. You attach to Michael, I'd bet, b/c he's an extraordinarily sensitive, and, on his best days, very kind, generous spirit, and you relate to that, probably need that.

Be kind and good to yourself - you deserve it, no matter what tough cards life has dealt you and no matter how poorly you may have played the hand you've been dealt. The resolution of your worries will not be found tangling with strangers in an anonymous web forum - you're just beating your head against the wall with that. Good luck. Help from friends and family is invaluable to us all in times trouble and sorrow. I hope there's plenty of it out there for you. Namaste.
