Just noted this, uploaded to HQ's YouTube channel:
R.E.M. Alligator Aviator Autopilot Antimatter Dickey Doo Larry Tee A3 remix
Not sure what I think, but interesting to hear. Wonder if this is something which emanciated from the band (JMS) or from the artists(s).

"Conventional wisdom would dictate that when the singer is trying to hit the high note and not quite getting there, the last thing you should do is tickle him! No tickling the lead singer when he is reaching for a note that he can no longer hit, OK?" JMS, post-audience visit during The One I Love in Bergen, 2008

One day, if I'm old or dead
One day, can't get out of bed
I hope and pray the night before, we were out of our heads
Cause I never want to lose the Days of Wine and Booze
We all go back to where we belong: A month of saturdays, Hallelujah!

Wow. It's... dreadful, to say the least.
It's the poison that it measures
Brings illuminating vision
It's the knowing with a wink
That we expect in Southern women
It's the wolf that knows which root to dig to save itself
It's the octopus that crawled back to the sea.

That drum beat is too loud and repeatative for me. Others might dig that kind of thing though.

Yikes.
"I wound up figuring out something that I had never been able to figure out before, which was: who am I after R.E.M.? I now know, and I’m OK with it. I’m just not a whole lot without them. I’ve got a nice voice and good cheekbones, but without those guys writing songs with me, I don’t know that anyone would ever hear what I have to say.” . . ---Michael Stipe

You can listen to it by clicking on the link to it which was posted in the first post of this thread.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Oops, I obviously misread your post. Was that on the "Animal" single?
