Sorry I left guys. Didn't have internet and then got very busy since moving. Yesterday, I was like, dang, I need to get back to song survivor! Thank you very much to "7 chinese robs." for posting in my absence. As usual, you have 5 days to vote. (Aug. 15) Tough one for me actually, between Driver 8 and Find the River but not sure...

No prob, Kenneth, and welcome back.
Might as well skip to Round 15. The final two will be "Fall On Me" and "Find the River" ... book it.

Very hard choice. Unfortunately 'Driver 8' is just not in the same league as the other two songs - even though it is still a great song. 'Fall on Me' and 'Find the River' are two of my favourite songs of all time (of any band).
I'm going for 'Find the River' to win!!

Driver 8 or Fall On Me? A really tough question but I voted off Fall On Me this time.

Definitely Driver 8.
"I wound up figuring out something that I had never been able to figure out before, which was: who am I after R.E.M.? I now know, and I’m OK with it. I’m just not a whole lot without them. I’ve got a nice voice and good cheekbones, but without those guys writing songs with me, I don’t know that anyone would ever hear what I have to say.” . . ---Michael Stipe

Driver 8 is a stunner but Fall on me and Find the River are twice as stunning.
It's the poison that it measures
Brings illuminating vision
It's the knowing with a wink
That we expect in Southern women
It's the wolf that knows which root to dig to save itself
It's the octopus that crawled back to the sea.

I think Driver 8 might be there because of a divided vote. I mean i like it but it's far far from being one of R.E.M's best songs. However my fav. R.E.M stuff is the early stuff which D8 is representing so I can vote that off instead of FTR which after all is quite a conventional song imo, a good song but still quite conventional and r.E.M in the 80's had a lot of inspired unconventional songs. Since the 80's they haven't really been as inspired vis a vis the actual construction, so to speak, of songs. Fall on me will be a worth winner for several reasons but I'll not jump the gun on that.
