Anyone who does not consider Juventus 1995-1996  and Barcelona 2008-2009 (6 cup winner) just doesn't know anything about world football.

You can't seriously compare those teams ! Football (or soccer) changed so much over time, rule wise and techique wise !! It's just... impossible to say what team is best.

It's the poison that it measures
Brings illuminating vision
It's the knowing with a wink
That we expect in Southern women
It's the wolf that knows which root to dig to save itself
It's the octopus that crawled back to the sea.

2011/2012 Manchester City... ;)

You never know.....either that or Mancini will be for the chop I fear.

You can't have a best team imo without Glasgow Celtic 1966-7. Purely because they won the European Cup with great flair, with players all taken from a 30-mile radius of the club's home city, Glasgow. That local element is something that will never happen again, sadly.

Agreed!

Plus you could extend the period to 1970 when they were runners up.

Did you personally compile this list dude? Arsenal 2004, Chelsea 2008? Good teams, but come on! If you are talking about great domestic accomplishments, how can you have these two but not the legendary Leeds United sides?

Also, still no Celtic? First non-latin side to win the European Cup, 9 league titles in a row, and as Haggis says, still a force into the 70s.

Anyway, rant over!  :D

Man, I'm out. It's obviously all subjective, but you've missed out some really legendary sides, while admitting some relatively average ones.

Thomas, do you see Sheffield Wed ever getting back to the premiership? Great potential there, but I guess it all comes down to cash.

You need to get yourself a rich arab.
