This is quite funny, today at work I was driving a man home from the shops. He said he dropped a two dollar coin in my car. Searching, I got down on my knees to look for it under the front seat where he was sitting and I saw this black box. What is that? the fuse box? I put my reading glasses on and saw "interchangle cd player" Do I have a cd player in my car? To my surprise, yes! I mean after all this time, I've had this car for about six years and didn't know it had a cd player. On the radio dash there is a button that says cd, but I thought that was for a plug-in portable. I figured it's hidden under the seat to stop theft, and after 6 years I find out my car has a cd player. I can't get over that.

How odd that whoever sold you the vehicle never mentioned it. What a cool suprise.

That's pretty funny.
We have a 6 cd changer under under the passenger seat of one of our cars. I guess that's easier than trying to put it in the dash.

I was mostly looking for a neat small car with low mileage and air-conditioning. I bought the car from a used car dealer, it's odd that he didn't point it out. He didn't even know the brakes were on the way out. I had to take the car back 3 weeks later to get the brakes fixed.

I mentioned it to my daughter who drives the car as well, thought she'd be real excited but she kind of said - meh, I use my ipod.

I've only ever owned the one car since I started driving late. On my first unsupervised outing with it, I decided to play my Green cd and stuck it in the gap I could see on the dashboard. I then couldn't find the buttons to play it with, so I phoned the car salesman to ask where they might be, only to be told that I didn't have a cd player, just a radio/cassette player. I'd mistaken the gap between the unit and the trim as a cd slot, and there my original copy of Green remains to this day - I like to think of it as being the soul of my car!

The cd got stuck and you can't get it out? I still haven't figured out how to raise and lower my car radio anntena. There must be a button for it somewhere, I keep forgetting to ask my mechanic.

I must admit, I thought it was quite funny too - I'd have to remove the radio cassette unit to get it out from underneath it, so I just bought another copy of the cd. At some point, the cd will probably be worth more than the car!
