I'm looking for photos to be submitted and featured in a gallery of summer/REVEAL-related photos on my static REVEAL tribute site. The site is located at http://summerturns.wordpress.com and is a collection of article links, video links, interview links, photos, notes, and reflections related to the album.

Ideally, it would be great to have a collection of photos from various locations taken by R.E.M. fans from around the globe that depict SUMMER. Please send your submissions (with an accompanying line or song title of your choice from REVEAL, if you like) to mrocks7@windstream.net

Also, please include your name as you would like to be appeared in the credit.

This will be an ongoing project throughout the summer, so, feel free to take photos and submit them throughout May, June, July, and August.

In addition, I'm also posting positive fan reflections on the album. If you'd like to share yours, send it to the same e-mail address posted above, again, with your name as you would like it to appear in the credit.

Thanks for your help. If you have any questions about or suggestions for the site, please feel free to message me on here or e-mail me. THANKS!

the album was released in mid-autumn here so despite it's summery themes, for me it still evokes those crisp, clear skied days you get in autumn/early winter here.

Just out of curiosity, where is "here?"

Broadly speaking, Reveal was released in mid-autumn in the southern hemisphere, but if you just meant where is "here" for me personally - I'm on the coast, just south of Adelaide, South Australia.

Thanks. That does help. I know that REVEAL isn't exclusively a summer album, but, it does have a notable lean in that direction. Of course, it is somewhat biased toward the North American experience in many ways, I suppose.

oh yeah, I think it was intended to be a summery album and, of course, it makes sense that it is American-centric.

The albums release just happened to coincide with me doing a lot of outdoors work and I was also doing a lot of driving - I had Reveal on the car stereo most days.  It's an album I played a lot on release and then ignored for a long time, so it is very much anchored in that time/season/landscape for me.
