Ethan very kindly restored Flowers Strewn so that murmursians can post their own creative projects, so this is to thank him, and to, um, rejoice.

DISCLAIMER-- I am fully aware I can't draw technically so don't bother posting about that. This work in the is in emotive naive style. If you don't like it bite the fly. Or the horse.

I know I've probably said this before, but your drawings are true gems, etty.

Ah; the Andrea blockage. Sorry to hear that the creative juices have ceased to flow and a danged beaver has dammed the rushing waters of positive thought.Twistedkitemike

Bless you, my child, for though you have sinned against the Dutchman, you have lightened my spirit and enabled me to leave the path of terror for the verdant fields of vengeance, though with no blood on my hands. For once. In The Corner

I like! Thanks Ethan!

This is a poem for flowers strewn,
For a tempest howled me a lover's croon
I may write it all wrong
Don't care if it gets me a gong,
Brilliance is just bling bling
Like top 40 chart sing sing,
Oh flowers strewn, wilted
You almost died,
To you I pour a drink
For making me think,
Beyond the obvious murmurs daily fair,
I shall not forget you,
For Etty and her flowers lust
'twas truly inspirational.

I posted my reply to that gorgeous drawing in the wrong thread (uploads). I guess it was the "back alley" heading that got me all excited.

What is "Flowers Strewn" for, exactly? Creative endeavors in general?

Well, before the board got re-formatted, there was Flowers Strewn which was for members here to submit their own work. Anything goes, really.
There was a subform called critique, which was where people posted when they wanted feedback on their work from other murmurs folksters.
Ethan has really done a great job  rescuing FS out of the big melee  called "lifestyle" where everything non REM goes now. So I guess if people want their work critiqued, they can say so.
BTW, if you wrote a poem or a song or did a drawing of REM, it would be perfectly at home here. There are really no limits, except to say that it's not OK to trash other people's work. Constructive criticism is fine, flaming isn't. But that's just good manners. If you want to spit poison at another member GLR is probably the best forum for that.

Does this mean I have to move the CiN cartoon project over to this place?

I'm not very excited about posting on a forum with the name Flowers, but I'll do whatever the administrator says

Oh no. You don't have to move anything or post stuff in here if you want to put it elsewhere. It's just, this was where most people came to post their work.
It's up to you where your stuff  goes.
Flowers Strewn is taken from Find The River. Used to be all the forums had  REM song references. Most of them still do. Except Lifestyle. That's a utilitarian name. Personally I prefer Flowers Strewn, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

In fact I was thinking of posting some drafts, or sketches, many half-baked cartoons that I have, then the finished products elsewhere. I've been trying to improve my cartoons of Mills and Buck, maybe I'll post a cartoon of the troika right here. Also I have wanted to post non REM drawings, they may fit here.

Etty, oh, how I missed your artwork.  Keep it coming!   :D

Okay, got it.

And Mary, you have the best avatar of the horrid Mr. B Natural ever.

Yay, thank you, Ethan!  I was wondering where Flowers Strewn had gone.  Also, that is a masterpiece, Etty! :D
