Looks like R.E.M. are doing promo in London this week. As well as the Dazed + Confused web chat, Michael on Thursday will guest on BBC One's The One Show, 7pm.
Those with keen memories will remember, on his last appearance, that gardening lady shoved a plant up his nose and tribute band Stipe played. Whatever next... ?

Whoopee, if we can't get a tour then another meeting with the butterfly lady has to be the next best thing!

Is there any chance that anyone can record this and put it on disc? I'm sure Julia would love to see it. I don't have the technology to get it off the Sky Planner anymore :(
Enjoy yourself with no regrets :D

I loved that crazy plant lady.  I hope we get a reprise.

I've been dumb. I can record it myself off Freeview, don't need to use Sky. The challenge will be getting it onto YouTube as I'm not sure if my DVD recorder uses  a compatible format.

Thanks for letting us know - would have missed it otherwise and last time was hilarious.  Michael really is a glutton for punishment!

I don't normally watch this show, is it always this bad? The presenters have no charisma, and the interview bits with Michael have been pretty stilted. I suppose it's just very mainstream tv...

It wasn't the same without the gardening lady!! Michael was looking and sounding good though, or at least when he got the chance to speak. I'm surprised they did they piece about the RAH and never even mentioned that REM had played there.

Ahh it was terrible. Michael was great, but the presenters were awful.

I wish he went on the Graham Norton show instead (which films tonight). He's not due to be on the show, but considering he's at the BBC Studios maybe he'll bump into Graham who will tempt him on. Wishful thinking, but it would have been a much better show to go on.

I tried to record it last night but the machine failed, so I've just  watched it on BBC iplayer.  I thought Michael was more than polite and increasingly bewildered by the various reports.  He looked slightly nervous after the wildlife film, possibly on the basis of what happened last time - had they produced a white handkerchief, he would probably have fled the studio.

I recorded it and have it saved on my PC. If anyone can't access the iplayer and would like to see it thn pm me and i can pando it to you.

(I tried editting it but Roxio doesn't like it. Anyone know any good, free and easy to use editting software?)

Had to dig up the clip from last time he was on. Had forgotten how bizarre that was.

This is the full 29 min show so you can scroll past the red sheep and butterfly segments.

But you wouldn't want to - you had to see the whole thing to get the full horror of it - I'd forgotten the sheep

Hehe, indeed. I think it's brilliant, and Michael seems to enjoy the absuridty of it all.
Love the end as well "So, you like these butterflies, Michael? BTW, you're playing Twickenham on Saturday, right?"

Just Michael's part was put on youtube.  One of my Facebook friends uploaded it.  I'll link it later unless someone finds it first.  Can't get into facebook at the moment.
